Sheep rearing is one of the most economic forms of animal husbandry practice as most of the feed input is via grazing system. Parasitic burden is most common problem encountered in ovines. Hence, a study was conducted to determine the efficacy of 6 different combinations of deworming drugs in reducing the internal parasitic burden of 500 Nellore brown sheep, selected randomly in Krishna district by fecal egg count reduction test (FECRT). The results revealed Levamisole (5%) + Triclabendazole (3.75%) combination was most effective and resistance to the deworming drugs was also not observed....
Present communication is about the occurrence of ocular setariosis and its management in a buffalo. A non-descriptive 7 year old buffalo with progressive corneal opacity was presented to the health camp. Clinical examination of the buffalo revealed a thread like worm inside the anterior chamber of the left eye. The parasite was successfully aspirated with syringe and treated. The buffalo was free from corneal opacity after 4 weeks of therapy....

A total of 76 dogs presented with the history of diarrhoea with passing loose, voluminous, grey coloured greasy faeces were considered for the study. Faecal samples were screened for parasitic ova and all were found negative. Further screened macroscopically for the presence of trypsin by x-ray film digestion test and microscopically for the presence of fat, starch and protein by standard procedures. Further haemato biochemical estimation was done and 18 dogs (23.68%) tested were found positive for Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency.
